I think it’s time for a new application of that verse. It’s easy to apply when we’re talking about getting along with people in our church and allowing each member to use their unique gifts for ministry, but what about the church down the street? Is your church silently but corporately saying to them, “I don’t need you!”? It’s time to find our common ground with other Bible-believing churches around us and find ways to work together to reach families for Christ.
It’s time to say, “I need you!”

A Free Resource and a Great Opportunity for Kidmin Collaboration
Keith Tusing from CMBuzz and CMBlitz just keeps on rolling out great resources for the kidmin community. Check out his latest at CMBox. CMBox is a free classified ad site much like Craigslist, but features resources for children’s ministry. My favorite feature? Every category has a “free” section! I can’t wait to see how churches share and collaborate through CMBox!

- If you’re looking for some help with your special needs ministry (and you should be!), then check out the free downloads page for special needs kids at Lifeway.com. You’ll find some great PDF’s about how to adjust your teaching for various needs, as well as printable picture cards to help teach the Bible to special needs kids. When you’re done checking out the free downloads, be sure to look at the rest of their special needs resources here.
- Could families in your church use some extra help teaching their kids about thankfulness? Then be sure to send them to Group.com’s “Thankful Kids – Thankful Families” page. They’ll find free videos and MP3’s to teach kids the importance of thankfulness. It looks like we’ll be able to check the page regularly for more free family resources.
